I am a real estate professional with a background in teaching, social work, and non-profit work. My heart is to serve people, and I believe I am uniquely qualified to do so because of work I have done in the past.
I went to Colorado State University and received my teaching license in the area of Social Studies. Having a teaching background allows me clearly coach my clients on what to do and what to expect through each step of the process when buying, selling, or both! Clear explanations with concise directions are a must when trying to teach anyone, and I pride myself on delivering this kind of service to my clients.
Being a Social Worker taught me two very important skills that relate to real estate. The first is strong communication. Through many trainings and experiences with clients, I learned how to communicate and listen in a way that helps my current clients feel heard and understood. Clearly understanding your communication style, your wants, and your needs helps me to meet and exceed your expectations. The second thing I learned was crisis management. I worked many times with clients who were very distraught, sometimes even to the point of wanting to hurt themselves or others. The goal was always to safely de-escalate the client. Of course, that extreme level of crisis doesn't often occur in a real estate transaction, but moving can be incredibly stressful so there can be tough moments. I will always be able to calmly walk my clients through those situations!
I have lived in Fort Collins for 14 years and am happily married to my wife, Lily. We have one daughter who is almost 2 and are exepcting another one soon.
I hope to have the chance to serve you in the near future!
